Working on two Standing Egg Sculptures this week, these have just had their second layer added and ready for a third and final layer of weaving.
Rachel Carter designs and creates sculptural pieces for the landscape, using mild steel and woven willow.
The blog began in 2009 charting her journey to show her sculptures at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2010. It continues to look at the commissions and sculptures she creates. Rachel is due to revisit RHS Chelsea in 2012 with her new edition sculpture 'One Hundred Spheres'.
She has a studio/workshop in Ilkeston,Derbyshire, with five other designer/makers to create the collective group 'Shed 2 Studios'.
